Second Stability Update for Transport Fever 3 Released

We are happy to release the second stability and performance update for Transport Fever 3 today. A big thank you to all who had participated in testing on the preview branch and given us feedback during the past weeks. We plan to continue supporting the game for a long time, and it is feedback like this that helps us to understand where we can make the biggest difference.

The first update released to players on PC, Mac and Linux has definitely improved performance for many players, and some of the stability problems we have seen reported have either been eliminated entirely or at least reduced. The update for players on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S is currently in testing and will be released in the near future.

We won’t be satisfied until the game performs smoothly for as many players as possible, which is why we are working on further updates that are focused on this side of the game. We hope that our newly released second performance update will help more players remove problems from their game – and this won’t be the last.

You can find the full release notes here.

If you are experiencing additional issues, that are not addressed with this patch, please share them with us using our offical forum.

One of the challenges we have encountered is that mods can make it difficult to determine whether an issue is caused by the game itself or by a mod. Fortunately, the game’s built-in automatic logging helps us identify where players are experiencing problems and, when necessary, work with mod authors to resolve conflicts as quickly as possible. At the same time, we are putting more effort into improving the mod hub, focusing on both stability to make browsing mods more reliable and user interface improvements that will bring some of the functionality you have been asking for.

We’re also well under way on our first gameplay update which will remove anachronistic building designs and make the first improvements to the user interface to help you connect with your game world better.

Since completing testing for this update we became aware of a conflict that affects Nvidia graphics card users with the freshly released 621.01 GeForce drivers. We have a fix for this conflict in testing, but rather than delay this update to include it, we have opted to complete the testing process first. This fix is already available on the public preview branch. For the time being we recommend that Nvidia graphics card users do not update their drivers or, if they have done so already, roll back to a previous driver version. Once testing is complete, we will release a hotfix to support the new drivers.

Thank you again for playing the game and for taking the time to share your feedback. It’s wonderful to see so many of you enjoying Transport Fever 3, and your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand where we can make further improvements.
